Invitations

So I pulled the trigger today and ordered all of the invitations for the wedding in October. This was almost, maybe even more, difficult than choosing my wedding dress. I was surprised by the journey as I went from wanting simple and elegant invitations to going with a design that was more contemporary and true to the colors of the wedding. They should be in my little hands in a week or so and I am so excited! Things are going well with the planning. We have almost everything nailed down so that is a relief. As always, Joel and I send our love!! D+J

Bridal Flowers

Hi everyone,

I would love your respectful input on flowers at the wedding.  What worked for you?  What do you wish you had done?  For those of you who had church weddings, what feedback can you offer about the aisle decorations and alter arrangements.

I will be meeting with our florist soon and could use friendly guidance.

In Gratitude

Life often passes us before we have a chance to say THANK YOU.  I am working at finding the "perfect" balance of work, obligation, daily life, love and prayer.  This weekend being surrounded by friends helped me to grow in this balance.  

There were still so many things that I didn't get done but what I did get this weekend were sunrises, hugs, good food and wine, deer outside my bedroom window but most of all the first realization that Joel and I are really making it work and that we are in a good place.  Those of you who have known about the ups and down would appreciate what I am trying to relate.

It's time...time to love, time to forgive but most of all its time to take a deep breath and thank God for all of the blessings.

Bachelorette Party Planning

As weddings tend to be I am in the trenches of planning.  This week it's been the Bachelorette Party!  A special shout-out to my bridal party and support system: Natalie, Monique, Steph, Jules and Gabrie for helping gather information and research.

Since most of you have equally hectic schedules I wanted to let you know that we will be celebrating the bachelorette party at Disneyland on Saturday, May 3, 2014.  Details will follow but if you would like to join us please reach out to me at eckhoffpalmaswedding@gmail.com.

It has begun!

Dearest Friends and Family,

It's been 9 years in the making but the date has finally been set!  Please mark your calendars for the Eckhoff/Palmas wedding on October 18, 2014 in Tucson, AZ.  A full Catholic mass celebrated by the Most Reverend Bishop Kicanas will begin promptly at 2 p.m. at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Parish with an intimate afternoon reception to follow on our private ranch.  Formal invitations to follow.

We thank you for the years of love and support and can't wait to share the journey together here on this blog.
